Cinnamon whisky pears with cream
Cinnamon Whisky Pears



4 pears – or 1 per person – quartered and cored

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg

2 teaspoons of castor sugar (adjust for your own sweetness)

2½ tablespoons whisky

½ tablespoon olive oil

Thickened Cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon to serve.



Pre-heat the oven to 180˚ C.

Mix the whisky, oil, cinnamon, sugar and nutmeg in a bowl.

Add in the pear quarters and stir to coat.

Empty into an oven dish, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and tender.

Serve with thickened cream and a dusting of cinnamon.
